Community-confirmed tolls: how they work in Triq
After a toll plaza, Triq may ask you whether the announced price was right. Drivers' answers are combined, with confidence levels, to confirm or correct rates. They don't carry your name, only a random device identifier. You can turn this sharing off.
The official rate table provides the base. Drivers are the ones who actually go through the plazas. Triq combines the two.
The idea
As you approach a plaza, an alert tells you about the toll. After the plaza, you can answer a simple question: was the price right? Your answer (plaza, amount, yes or no) helps other drivers.
The base price comes from the ADM rate table. Prices confirmed by the community are added on top.
Reliability
A single vote doesn't make it true. On the server side, votes and prices are tracked with confidence levels: a rate confirmed by several people carries more weight than a single answer.

What it's for
To make the trip cost more reliable for everyone, including when a rate changes. A community toll is also counted without duplicates, so the same plaza isn't counted twice.
What it changes for you
In practice, you have nothing to set up to benefit: the displayed price improves with other people's answers. And if you want to contribute, an answer after the plaza takes a few seconds. If you'd rather share nothing, turn the option off, and you'll still see the prices.
Old answers don't stay forever, which avoids keeping an outdated rate when prices change.
