Fuel prices in Morocco: share yours, see everyone else's
When you stop near a fuel station, Triq offers to let you enter the price of diesel or petrol. The station card shows the latest known prices and how old they are. Prices you enter help other drivers, without your name, and are kept for 60 days.
Fuel prices move. The most reliable one is the price a driver has just seen at the pump.
Entering a price
When you're stopped near a fuel station, a small card offers to let you enter the price of diesel or petrol. If you don't have time, you can put it off until later.
Seeing prices
The station card shows the latest prices and how old they are. So you know whether the information is from today or older.
Why it's reliable
The server protects data quality:
- a quota per device;
- rejection of prices too far from the local median;
- a purge after 60 days;
- never a device identifier in the responses.
Privacy
What you send (station, fuel, price, time) helps others without your name. You can adjust fuel price sharing in Settings. In strict offline mode, price entry is never offered.
A boost for your budget
These prices feed into the trip cost estimate. Your manual price takes over when no recent price has been reported near the route. For a trip with tolls, also check the ADM rate table.
When it's useful
Before a long trip, look at the stations on your route: the age of the price tells you whether it's recent. On the way back, remember to enter the price when you stop, to return the favour to those driving behind you.
If the price isn't known or is too old, don't take it for granted: it's community information, not an official rate.
Triq is coming to Google Play; join the beta from the website.
